Barceló Organic is the result of the producer's exceptional commitment to the principles of sustainable development. The first organic rum from the Dominican Republic, limited production, made from fresh sugarcane juice from Barceló's own oldest plantation. The rum is aged in selected oak barrels that have never been used before, and even the eco label is made of natural sugarcane fiber and organic ink. Try it solo or as a base for cocktails to enjoy an intense amber color, aromas of caramelized cherries, cocoa and tobacco with hints of roasted nuts and pink pepper.
Try the Organic Basil Smash cocktail:
60 ml of Barceló Organic
30 ml of lemon juice
15 ml of sugar syrup
8 basil leaves
In a shaker, first mix lemon juice and basil, then add rum and sugar syrup and mix again. Strain the cocktail into a glass with ice. Garnish with basil leaves and enjoy.
Try the Organic & Spicy cocktail:
15 ml of Barceló Organic
15 ml of Triple Sec liqueur
60 ml of lemon juice
30 ml of sugar syrup
2 slices of cucumber
½ tsp. grated ginger
Mix rum, liqueur, ginger, lemon juice and syrup in a shaker, add a slice of cucumber and mix again. Pour the drink into a glass filled with ice, garnish with a slice of cucumber. Taste it!
